I've just realised in the moment between writing the headline and writing the body that I put it on the freezer lid, so it's crisis averted!
It's crazy to think how indispensable these things are to people nowadays, it's almost like losing your right hand at first. After a little while, the peacefulness of your situation can seep in. You can relax, and enjoy your night in of learning to make custom patches in Skyrim mods because you've got floating clumps of grass in your Hall of the Daedra exhibit and it is spoiling the evil atmosphere of the room decor.
About Skyrim, I've been playing on high difficulty so I die a lot, but with the support of Lydia and Rayya, my bodyguards who mighty Talos has appointed to me in my success at being a hero of the hold, I've been able to slightly advance on my quest for more dragon shouts.
Although one or two hits could totally fuck me up and I depended for my life on the bravery of these dedicated women, my chosen perk path was speech, and I'm following the path of the dragonborn.
Now I've remembered that I forgot to meet the lady at Kynesgrove for the dragon attack! The NPCs are talking about how sad it is so I'm afraid to go and look.
I've installed a mod called World Eater Beater that apparently overhauls the entire Alduin battle experience so I'd like to see that, but at the same time I also want to just kind of cruise around and fight people to the death a lot whilst eating elk steaks fresh from that elk I just shouted to death and got like 39 raw elk meats from.
It's also kind of cheaty because Extensible Follower Framework lets you put things into your "inventory" which is unlimited space, and the games inventory for the follower is called Equipment, Lydia is picking up old potatoes and stale bread and shit and dropping it into that same equipment inventory.
