I can't see that working our modern two party system. I just can't imagine nice middle of the road neoliberals burning down the capitol. Now if we had a multiparty system and Antifa types had their own party led by, say, Alexis Occasional-Cortex, that might work. I could believe Antifa doing that.

I'm sure Fox would have his back once he sprinkled some rumors that crooked Hillary, crooked jealous Hillary, conspired with traitors in the deep state to make it happen. They could run a solid few weeks of "Did Hillary do it?" scare segments like they did in 2016, breaking in once an hour to have a steady stream of consultants with new wild speculations about what kind of cover-up might be going on. It would really energize the base of people they've aiming at for the last decade or so. Build that 9/11-truther-uranium-pizza-benghazi-but-her-emails crowd energy up into a blank check to do whatever he wants. He's already regularly holding rallies about locking up his political enemies and vilifying press organizations that call him out on his lies.
The scary thing is that it doesn't seem ridiculously implausible.
