OP, that does look pretty bad. Have you tried applying vitamin E to it? Dunno if that'd even help. Or maybe the cream version of polysporin? Might speed up the healing process and ensure you don't scar (though that would be a pretty sick scar; kinda like Harry Potter's lightning bolt).
I'll admit I'm just talking out of my ass now, but the vitamin E/polysporin thing is what I'd do if I were you.
