> A new system featuring image verification was also introduced. In this system, users are asked to just click on a checkbox (the system will verify whether the user is a human or not, for example, with some clues such as already-known cookies or mouse movements within the ReCAPTCHA frame) or, if it fails, select one or more images from a selection of set of images.[12] In 2018, Google started beta testing completely invisible reCAPTCHA system which does not present any human verification visually. Instead, new system actively monitors user actions across entire property and returns a score which represents probability if it is a human or a bot.[13]
Pretty sure that the select image function is going to be retired soon enough, I've always suspected that it's to help recognise items in Street View (for driverless car functions) the same way the old Recaptcha scanned words in books

OP
Me thinks perhaps if you cannot pick out a chimney, perhaps you're not sober enough to use a simple BBS.

Yes, but you get a different version of Minichan. This site uses the CAPTCHA like a sorting hat to display different versions of the board to different people. You have to get them all right if you want to unlock all of the quality content. If you get some wrong, you get a shittier version that's mostly poop and political shtick. If you miss too many, it will just show you Bert threads and links to Daily Mail articles. Remember to choose wisely. The more effort you put into it, the better your Minichan experience will be.
