Read through the article..

Her being held criminally responsible for his death is preposterous..

It's a travesty of justice if it was someone you cared about.

sad about your loved one being in legal trouble doesn't mean "travesty of justice"

It's not great, which is why I wonder if there shouldn't be some more lenient policy on young people. I was talking about if someone you loved would kill themselves, it would be pretty shitty if the person/persons who encouraged the suicide got away with it.

If someone I cared about tried for a very long time to get a depressed person to kill themselves, and eventually succeeded, I would no longer care about them.

What if I robbed a bank and insisted you talked me into it...should you go to prison..

Yeah that's not the kind of thing you expect from the people you care about. I'm not sure if I could look at someone the same way after something like that. I wouldn't completely abandon them though, it would feel too cold.

well the sentence was only 2 and a half years and she'd have been on parole by now if not for her attempting to not serve

it's not like she's getting the chair

Yeh but I don't know how old she is. 2 and a half years in prison can fuck a person up, right?

I didn't, and don't, think this was a good conviction. Obviously a shitty thing to do, but criminal? I can understand her being held civilly liable.

Don’t worry. It’s going to the Supreme Court. We’ll get to find out what the highest court in the nation shall rule!
