Topic: The new Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread at Subway is disgusting
Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago#83,737
It's not actually a different kind of bread. They just slather some overly sweet garlic butter onto Italian/white bread, throw some mozzarella on it, toast it, and call it a new kind of bread. It's got a weird artificial taste, like some bizarre plasticky margarine, and I can't imagine what kind of sandwich it would actually go well with. (I tried it with meatballs and ended up just eating the meatballs off of it, too gross.) It throws everything off then because you obviously can't have your toppings toasted the normal amount if the bread has already been toasted. Overall a huge disappointment, 2/10.
Subway has preset recipes, which anyone can get if they ask for them. Thanks.

Well maybe...just maybe...if one finds that they are not well satisfied with the 'preset recipes'...they can in fact direct the employee to construct the sandwich in an alternate manner consistent with their particular tastes..
This is not rocket science..
Choice one: Tell them exactly how the sandwich is to be made..
Choice two: Stand there for five minutes and let them make it in a way which you know you are not happy with and will whine about the rest of the day..

So, you're saying it is too much for OP to expect the employees to know how to make the wrap as marketed?
No wonder you have so many job prospects.

neither of their sandwiches come doused in everclear, so you will in fact be left unhappy and whine and cry and make your taco in a bowl to compensate

He says most of the employees cannot do it the way he considers to be correct..
Refer to the often heard description of insanity..

@OP
I apologize for fail to post about that disgusting Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread
I tried it about 6 weeks ago when they were out of the Herb Cheese bread option. So I went with regular white bun and that disgusting spread. Gross, is the best word to describe it.

I've had the turkey/bacon/guacamole wrap (but without guacamole because it's gross), and it's pretty good.

I accept your apology. Next time you try a new fast food item, however, please be sure to post your review immediately. You must assume that someone else on Minichan is about to order it.

Why would you eat at such a low class place? What do you expect? Fake food

It's a wrap, not a sandwich, and most of them don't do the wrap folding properly.

I try very hard to make relevant and useful topics. Replies might wander on occasion into the bizarre. Even today I was able to remind a few that, so called real Chinese food in China, is often very often just an American version of Chinese food.
When I watched how Subway slathered on that garlic spread in Massive Huge very Huge amounts I said to self - This ain't going to be a good experience. I do Subway about once per 6 weeks and the tricky thing now is to select among the many new items like Herb Oil or the Caesar or others yet to try. New fresh ground pepper is a nice addition. Price on Cold Cut Combo has skyrocketed which is not a problem for me, but I wonder why it jumped up $1:70 or so in just a couple three months. Might be California's jump in minimum wage.

They really do struggle with the wrapping. They need to be sent to Chipotle for a day for practice.

Give us examples of high class places you order food at. Is it one of those burger joints that charge $125 or more for a burger and pile on caviar. Me I do NOT want fish eggs on my burger.
