The mercury doesn't bother me because I got a lot of vaccines as a kid.

you may find that a section of tooth will crack, perhaps even braking off. you will then likely have a white ceramic replacement filling that is also built up to replace the section. a crack that destroys the tooth down would be not so repairable though.

Isn't it as simple as just adding a fake tooth?

No. Once the tooth down has been destroyed the gums and bone socket begin to molt.

Back n 1984, I was supposed 2 B n a video with Whitney Houston. Buuuuuuut it never happened, I did invite her n Bobby Brown 2 my Ocean a blue 2 watch me surf. Bobby did good, but Whitney not so much so good.
Afterwards we went 2 my place 4 sum wine n chilling out. Whitney got pretty wasted n started kissing on me. Bobby laughed n said she likes 3somes, n we should fuck her n her holes.
Well I declined n they got mad n Whitney stormed out naked. Bobby asked me if I was afraid of a "lil chocolate pudding", then he left as well.
So, I been close, but no happen

Let me complain about how in school when they tell you about taking care of your teeth, they never mentioned root canals. All they said was, brush to prevent cavities. They didn't mention how you could have cavities that don't even hurt, and if advanced too far, a simple filling won't fix it. You may need a rebuild of the entire top of the tooth (crown), or worse yet the killing of your tooth on purpose and drill out of the root that is then filled in (root canal). That shit is scary to contemplate.
