Topic: Why doesn't Google start a thing on Android where it automatically clicks ads ~1% if the time

Meta !Sober//iZs started this discussion 7 years ago #83,673

Like make it so on Android if you tap something near an ad (in Chrome or any other app with Google Ads) you have, say, a 1-2% chance of it being changed to tapping on the ad near where you tapped.

This wouldn't work on desktop Chrome obviously, but on a phone it's close enough - and infrequent enough - that you would think you were just clumsy.

1-2% more ad clicks may not sound like much but for Google this is big money.

How do you know they don’t do that?

Okay... Okay... Everybody just play it cool. If Google comes by just look the other the way and pretend we were talking about gumbo or something.
