Overweight is a pretty loose term. Take American football players for instance, going by weight or BMI, most of them are "overweight", but they are certainly athletic.

Maybe not, but the potential to get there easily certainly exists.

All other things being equal, I suppose I would. I know plenty of people who went on to get degrees and advanced degrees with a GED; most of them moved around a lot as kids or were too busy being teenagers to bother with busywork at school.

What do you mean by overweight? There are plenty of "overweight" athletes, because they have high amount of muscle mass.
