I was doing some driving today and it occurred to me. Why the hell can't we just drive using our own initiative when it comes to speed? I bet there are a lot of crashes just from people breaking suddenly at a camera and getting distracted by the gazillion camera warning signs. What the fuck? If the road is empty and you can control your own vehicle, why can't we just drive at whatever speed we want? I'm an impatient person, and these speed limits simply don't do it for me. I've been driving five years now, never once crashed. I'm frankly, quite nifty behind the wheel. LOL. So why must my journeys take twice as long cos some idiots suck at controlling their own car?

Don't you know. Speed limits are just an unconstituional way to tax people in the most inefficient way possible.

For every $1 the government collects, $100 goes to the expense of insurance, the legal system, cops, the cost of crime because cops giving tickets rather than fighting crime, etc.

We should just have people vote on something to abolish speed limits or just abolish that the government can collect fines on them. The later will abolish them because the government will have no motivation to ticket you. If your car is stolen, the cops don't care but they do care when you speed.

Speed limits stop retarded people (ie most people) from killing each other. If the speed limits were removed, most people would be priced out of motoring based on the cost of insurance alone.

Although I do agree with increasing the speed limit on motorways. 70mph? Fuck that. 90 BITCHES.

OH I just reminded myself of when I had two massive cans of Monster in work, then immediately had to drive to Liverpool. Until I looked at the speedo I had no diea I was doing 105mph. In a 15 year-old 1.4l hatchback.
