Externally hosted imageFor today I have filled out one of my first ever job applications for a sales associate position at a local GameStop. I doubt I will get the job, but hey, it's something. ^_^

Congratulations on your first steps into independence. Don't stop now, there are probably more businesses hiring in your area!

Aren't you in your late 20s? Why have you never worked?

Most of the jobs I found on Snagajob and Google tend to be cooking positions. I don't have the qualifications for those.

Fast food and pizza are easy food positions, anyone should be able to hold down those jobs. Everything is preportioned and run off of timers, so no guess work is involved.

These were potions for cooks at Red Lobster, Marie Calendars, etc. I don't think I saw any fast food jobs. Del Taco was hiring, but they were only hiring for higher positions.

The best thing about work is how it becomes routine after a while. Suddenly you're routinely productive and your life is "more"

For most of those just go in store. There will be a manager there, fill out an application and talk with the manager. With a little confidence in yourself and willingness to work you will most likely get hired on the spot. If not, don't worry, there are plenty of other places to try.

You do, but a lot of those places are constantly hiring kitchen staff. Broaden your focus to more than just Del Taco.

Congrats Cathy

I have had my eye on that company for number of years. They recently offloaded cell phone sales operation and now have excess cash to invest back into the core business.

bert going to have to reconsider his current lazy stance on looking for work - Of course month back the said he wood but just like with Trump one cannot take such words as truth.

It's easy to apply for a job. I aimed for a minimum of ten a day when I was out of work but have applied for 30 or more in the past. You shouldn't expect pats on the back for filling out a form. Come back when you have an interview!

I asked the same question earlier in the thread and received no answer. It's interesting how many of the people in this thread who attack Bert for being an unemployed loser are now congratulating Catherine on making his first certain-to-fail job application at almost 30.

In defense of Green, he developed the unique art of sucking his sperm samples directly out.
Catherine has a lot to learn from Green.
