Some that I've heard:

Ace
Blade
Claude

None of these are American names or helping them fit in :/

Claude is a real name though. Poor guy probably preferred Clyde but didn't want everyone thinking he had a faggot turtle ?

I knew a kid in school whose given name was Isambaard. We all just called him 'iceman' though.

Was he a shipbuilder?

I never personally witnessed him build any ships, but I only knew him for a few years in elementary school. He may have developed some new hobbies since I last saw him.

I honestly couldn't say. He was pretty fond of climbing things on the playground and used a lot of paste on his class projects. It could be that he was preparing himself for a career building things even back then.

I worked with a couple of Chinese guys called Mario and Harry, naming themselves after super Mario and Harry Potter. The other guy was called Vikan, he made his name up.
