Now I want to make a browser extension for handling multiple cookie-based authentication accounts. It could have a pull-down menu for easily switching accounts. You could give each account entry a memorable name that would show up in the menu, and the extension would store a separate history and user notes for each.

Your question shows you have potential for one day serving as Judge on one of those upper courts of law.
The term UID here is a miss~nomer
"A unique identifier (UID) is a numeric or alphanumeric string that is associated with a single entity within a given system. UIDs make it possible to address that entity, so that it can be accessed and interacted with."
So to carry out UID - among many ways are these which for your question are relevant
BECKY You may now skip the details and jump down to *
A Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) is a unique identifier that makes content addressable on the Internet by uniquely targeting items, such as text, video, images and applications.
A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a particular type of URI that targets Web pages so that when a browser requests them, they can be found and served to users.
A Universal Unique Identifier (UUID) is a 128-bit number used to uniquely identify some object or entity on the Internet.
Bottom line is A Quantum Computer wood be required to do the Hypothetical.
Now what I wood do is start with one of only two choices and wood do a mind flip of coin for the first choice. From that point on it may become mind boggling and requires deep inner thought about the process. Or in other words Hell if I Hypothetically No the Answer.
*The good news Hypothetically is that Short Term Memory
The Process is a good test of Short Term Memory which is a Great Proof that Alzheimer's does not exist because, only my Hypothetically Brain remains free of.
