Topic: Crunchbang install problem on Dell Inspron mini netbook

I have Crunchbang installed to both the HD of the netbook and on a thumbdrive that I use in multiple computers. But when I try to boot from either of them in this netbook I got for free, it gets to the "GRUB loading. Welcome to GRUB!" screen and just stops. I don't know why. The thumbdrive install works fine on all other computers. I don't want to use Ubuntu any more. How do I get past this?
