Very much so. The placement of the sealed BBQ sauce not only reveals the label and branding but stands in contrast to the unpackaged ketchup that has been haphazardly spilled on the opposite side of the plate. The burger, caught in between these two extremes, can be seen to be pulling back from such a wild juxtaposition of themes on one plate. The effect allows the artist to create a reason by which the slightly misplaced bun lets the viewer to verify that all the burger toppings have indeed been included. What we are seeing here may be a bold new trend in fast food photography.
