When she has the hump and is pissed off follow this one simple rule. Ignore her. Just let her stew and act like nothing has happened, don't fight her. If she's being a bitch do stuff for yourself like cook and don't offer her a ride. Eventually she'll just come around by herself and you didn't get sucked into a row.

Ask her how she's doing. If she says she's upset ask if she wants to talk about it. If she doesn't, give her space and let her work out her own issues. If there's some chore that needs to be done like laundry or cleaning or cooking, do it for her. Don't "ignore" her though. Always be available when/if she wants to talk. If she doesn't talk to you, it should be because she decided she didn't want to, not because you made yourself unavailable. Thanks.
