Buzzfeed actually has broken major news (Steele Dossier, Conyers' sexual harassment, an under the radar but good investigation about a dirty cop that framed 50 people for murder in Chicago, a city where cops probably don't need to invent more murders, etc.) They also have listicles like (just pulling articles at random from their front page right now) "39 Mildly Annoying Things That Happen To Every Girl During Winter" and "19 Memes For Everyone Who Loves Sleeping, Drinking, Eating, And Repeating." As far as I know, the Daily Mail has listicle-quality articles with no corresponding meaningful investigative journalism to justify their existence.
