Starting tomorrow. This is my last vice outside of coffee, and I'm going to give that up too soon. I've been smoking for 15 years ffs, I really need to quit, more than that I want to fucking quit. Its a foul, unhealthy, and expensive habit. I've vowed not to take a drink or smoke a puff of weed until I accomplish this, I'd like the occasional drink, and I wanna go back to smoking weed daily, its quite a motivation and I haven't touched either for months and months. I've tried to quit before, but not quite so seriously... I think I'm at a different point in my life than I was before, a sober point, that should help.
Wish me luck faggots. Any of you ever a serious smokers and successfully quit?
You were the one who said I should quit for my friends, my friends didn't start me smoking.

@OP
I smoked for a long time from an early age (13 maybe younger). Nothing was better than waking up and having a smoke. One day I had a thought: "is this cigarette going to be the one that gives me cancer?" I decided it was time to quit. I was already running regularly at the time but increased my mileage to 5 or 6 every day as a way to kick the feeling to need a smoke. Every now and then I would relapse. Eventually I started chewing the nicotine gum and that has been my methadone for cigarettes. At first it doesn't work very well but eventually it kicks in and takes the place of a smoke. Also you can chew gum in places you cannot smoke.

be an example for your friends. If they are truly your friends you wouldn't want them to die.

I've managed to kick every bad habit I've ever had... but this smoking shit is HARD to quit. I'm going to need something, be it nicotine gum or patches. I just cant think straight when the craving is bad.
