I've been trying for a long ass time to have sex, it's been a humbling experience. There is this woman in work which i like to talk to but when she hinted about us becoming any more than work bodies, like friends possibly, my flight response kicked in and I fucked up all day in work.
But I'm not asexual, that's what's so fucked up. How can I dream about something and chase it with all the horrors that involves, only to pussy out the last second?

Maybe, who know? I've read this book this one time, a book that shouldn't be obscure but still is even though it's perfectly professional. That book was talking about certain people and it was unbelievable how it was describing me and essentially my past.

You very well could be on the spectrum, just the high-functioning end of it. There's definitely something psychological at work here, whatever the case.

There always is something psychological at work with everyone. That's what's so dangerous about the stigma of mental illness, it doesn't come from other people but instead the stigma comes from yourself and everything that makes you who you are is credited/blamed to the illness

This is simple. You are starving for affection. You have in your sights a work mate who apparently is available for at minimum a outside of work friendship.
Just how is it possible you can type out a need on this totally obscure bbs and yet not make the most simple of contact with someone of the opposite sex at work?

Cannot be either. Fake_Anon was in a sexual relationship recently. Catherine does not work. Has never worked for a company.
And > I've been trying for a long ass time to have sex
Catherine found it near impossible to have sex with herself.

You are very right and you are really asking me a question I'm unsure about. I had a professional relationship with someone once, when it was time to say goodbye, she kissed me and i felt so much that it was like a shock. I think I'm probably just very afraid of rejection, i guess you could say that I just want it all to happen naturally where things progress without me making any decisions.

Question. The job you have. Is it the first you have had? Did you apply and get that job by just walking in and without saying one word they said you are hired OR did you have to work at getting your first job?
Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 7 years ago, 10 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#944,919
It's not my first job but it is my first job that I got on my own. I got my other jobs through nepotism and welfare programs. I felt very manipulative when I got that job, i felt so manipulative that it was almost like I was a spy who was knees deep in infiltration. It's not like I did anything illegal or extreme, i just pretended to be someone I'm not. In the interviewe I was deeply impressed by the boss, I don't know who that guy is but his talent is definitely wasted there. It's weird how despite our beliefs of being able to read people, it's mostly all just superficial appearances.

@944,919 (A) > It's not my first job but it is my first job that I got on my own.
Shocking just shocked. You went after a job. You were interviewed. You put yourself forward and then got the job.
You even took the chance of rejection.
So and my job when working is to solve problems for others.
> There is this woman in work which i like to talk to but when she hinted about us becoming any more than work bodies
There is a chance that when you actually make that move and just suggest a cup of coffee or find some fun event to attend - Christmas time so Christmas parade? Go as friends and you may even find out this is a gal you do not want to spend time with after work
Nothing ventured nothing gained.
