It was too streamlined and cut down in comparison, for me. Also the amount times they reused the same area for several missions was ridiculous. The combat was more entertaining though.

Kind-of true, but I didn't much find the area reuse that obvious. It was a little annoying. The combat made up for it though in my opinion.

What's so good about the story? Also the voice-acting was shit and repetitive. Especially that one sister is annoying as fuck

Mass Effect has a better story and it's a better series. KotOR is very good too, especially if you're into Star Wars.
I have to say though most of EA's games are totally shit cash cows.

Do, the first one is the best, they dumbed down the second one though to make it more "accessible".
Don't expect a whole different game though, a lot of the game mechanics are very samey in Bioware games.
TBH I think Dragon Age is a pile of shit anyway.
