There's something hilariously wrong with carving representations of sound onto vinyl and reading them with a laser that then digitizes the sound by emulating the way a needle would vibrate while scratching the surface. It's at once futuristic and anachronistic. It's like if my Twitter timeline were just AI translations of pictures I took of posts I wrote out in cuneiform on clay tablets.
