No idea what any of the below means? — Join our chat by clicking here and entering ##minichan as the channel!

Connecting to IRC
1. You can either use the webchat, or you can point your IRC client directly to Freenode (irc.freenode.net, ports 6697/7070 (SSL) or 6665-6667 (non-SSL)) and join channel ##minichan.

2. If you have an MC bouncer (ZNC) account:
Click Add server, New network, or similar.

Enter as the server address/host.

Use either port 5000 (SSL) or 5050 (non-SSL) — Note: tick or say 'yes' to any option to approve invalid certificates

Enter your bouncer username and password — Note: you likely must enter the password as username:password. If given options, choose SERVER Password.

Connect! If you don't join any channels, enter /join ##minichan

(If you use NickServ: you don't need to identify each time you connect, because the bouncer remembers, but on your very first time connecting to the bouncer, enter /msg NickServ identify username password

Minnie2
Minnie2 is our channel's "new" bot — Minnie's ~~temporary~~ ~~probably permanent~~ permanent replacement! Like her predecessor, Minnie2 uses bmotion, so she has all the chatty/conversation bollocks you have grown to love.
Most of Minnie's original commands are available through Minnie2 (!weather, !tell, !seen, !search, !wikt, !ety, and so on). One notable exception is that you can't use !tell with a date, e.g. "In 2 hours tell $user to kill themselves" is not possible.

Update: ~~I'm looking at restoring the quotes file from backup to enable us to !q again, which I'll do ~~when I stop being cripplingly lazy~~ ~~soon-ish~~.~~
August update: restored quotes file, so !q (and !qadd, !qfind) is back! There's now also !simp and !kys, which are both shit.

2020 update: I'll add more functionality soon, hopefully the "tell" command with dates/times supported, and other ~~useless~~ totally useful things which everybody will care about and will assuredly be worth my time. ?

No, you also needed an account on the bouncer. Originally, r04r set up accounts for herself, me, becky, Fake anon, Foxygen, and levo (an Iranian ##minichan user who had a poor connection) and a few other people if I recall. There were two bouncers she ran, ZNC and Quassel, and as far as I know they're both now permanently down.

I'm looking at setting up a new bouncer, but it might take a few weeks.

You get a pretty limited service unless you pay. You only stay connected for 2 hours if you're inactive!

Use /server and give it the IP + port and your password probably in the format "user:pass". Idk how CIRC likes the command formatted precisely. Use a real client fgt.
