Issue
A mobile network operator contacted the BBFC for advice about the suitability of the
website for people under 18, following a complaint from a member of the public that it
had been placed behind adult filters despite containing no material that in the
complainant’s opinion would cause access to be restricted to adults only.
Adjudication
We noted this was a message board on which people post pictures and discuss a
variety of issues. It included repeated uses of aggressive very strong language, and
numerous photographs which depicted strong sexualised nudity. We also found
material which could be interpreted as having the potential to encourage
discriminatory and harmful views, such as comments and blogs which suggested a
link between paedophilia and homosexuality. As such, we did not consider the
website to be suitable for people under the age of 18.

Reviewer probably has a tiny dick and is offended because most of the nudity on mc is of tiny dicks.

Paedophilia and homosexuality are discussed rationally but I honestly cannot remember where they have been linked except one a year every other year.

This is the email I sent: Hi, I am here to follow up on an enquiry abouthttps://t.co/DJxrlX0xby being assessed as an adult website. I have since had contact with the admin ofhttps://t.co/DJxrlX0xby who has made surehttps://t.co/DJxrlX0xby is compliant with GDPR rules. They assure me thathttps://t.co/DJxrlX0xby is a family friendly website, all posts are responsibility of the users who post them and the posts remain up at discretion of the moderators. I think that labelling it as pornography is unfair as most users are opposed to pornography. I humbly request that minichan is declassified as an adult site or else me and my lawyers will be seeing you in court, we have a solid case.

This was their reply: '''Hello Anon
I have received the following adjudication from the BBFC regarding the websitehttps://t.co/DJxrlX0xby.
This is a message board on which users post photographs and discuss a variety of topics. The site features repeated and aggressive use of very strong language ('c**t'), language that attacks people on the basis of their sexual orientation (for example, the discussion thread headed "Indisputable evidence that pedophiles are actually closet homosexuals") and nudity in a sexualised context (for example, the penis nudity in the discussion thread headed "Neglo Esclavo is live-streaming and he is wearing some kind of penis ballroom jewelry"). As such, we did not consider the website to be suitable for people under the age of 18.
As such, we will not be removing this website from our adult content filter.
We hope you understand the reasons for this decision.
Regards,
Adam

That's hilarious. I wonder how they found that paedophilia thread -- it has only a handful of replies. I wonder if they just searched "homosexuality" and clicked the top result.
