Assume it adds 2-3 days. Is it worth those extra days for the small feel better gain,
Also cold meds have side effects.

If you're taking medicine for it, you're telling your body that you're sick, which will make you sicker. The key is to not let your body believe it's sick. You're welcome.

Doesn't most cold medicine just tamp down the symptoms? If you're not resting then isn't that bound to prolong your cold? Sure you can keep walking on a broken ankle with enough pain killers, but it isn't going to heal that way.
