You know, the man who invented Alvin and chipmunks was the same fellow who made that Witchdoctor song, the one with ooo-eee-ooo-eee-ahh and so on. He was of Armenian descent and he and his cousin wrote a tune based on an Armenian song about visiting with people. It was called Come-on-a My House, and was a big hit for Rosemary Clooney, an aunt of that famous actor George. Anyway, Rosemary hated that fuckin' tune and really did not want to sing it, but her boss Mitch Miller said he'd fire her if she didn't do it. She later said that when she hears the song, she can hear her own anger in her voice.
