I'd say I'm decent at handling spice for someone who don't grow up eating spicy food. At most asian restaurants I go for the higher end of the white people-spicy options. How about you? I guess your grandma didn't think you could handle the heat!

I don't eat at restaurants much
Im way better at handling spicy food than I was but there's a boundary between the level of spice you enjoy and the level of spice you can tolerate but makes the food less enjoyable
That threshold is still pretty low for me
And to be clear I mean spice as in scoville scale, not flavoring (i know you know that but still)
And yeah i couldnt handle the heat i had to get out of the kitchen
Now she lacks the mental capacity to cook but shuffles around and demands you eat foodevery three minutes!
