Topic: Matt v Syntax: The Movie. Anyone interested in seeing this if I get a Crowdfund going?

After all, Batman v Superman was a box office hit. Freddy vs Jason the same. Why not Matt v Syntax? An epic tale of all-out warfare that has everything: drama, tragedy, farce, sex and high comedy. All set in a variety of exotic locations, from the sands of California to the smoggy steets of China.
I think it can be done with a budget of around $2 million, assuming we cover the whole sweeping decades-long span of the story. I'm thinking maybe Matt Damon to play Matt. Syntax I'm not sure. Martin Landau would have been a good choice but he died last year.
Let me know if there's interest in this project and I'll start the pre-production funding.

Anyone on here willing to contribute will get an Executive Producer credit by the way.

I will gladly front $1,000,000.00 towards the production of this cinematic masterpiece mon ami provided I am given Executive Producer privileges and the standard 15 minutes of a trailer time daily with any ladies on set

Very well but I think it only fair to warn you that this is not a story that requires many female roles. In fact as of now the casting sheet calls for only one Chinese actress to play Matt's pregnant girlfriend and some Californian children listed in the script as "prepubescent eye candy". But if they're agreeable then you are welcome to spend 15 minutes with them in their trailer for whatever reason.

@OP
You really have to shop this around to secure corporate funding. The product placement opportunities for this movie are vast.
If I contribute, I'd like to be able to secure rights for a stage adaptation. I have some ideas about a Greek chorus of angry anons that could really pan out. Greek choruses were just ancient NPC memes, so I feel like I could tie that together effectively in the writing. Also, I bet a stage show could turn into a musical pretty quickly with the right creative backing. This is just the kind of modern day tragic saga that could take Broadway by storm!

You won’t get the rights to my story unless you let me play myself.

Agreed. They still made huge profits though. Not sure Matt v Syntax will but I can see it doing well at the artsy festivals. It has the makings of a fascinating character study of obsession and dementia.
