Calico isn't actually a breed. It is a genetic defect caused by a pair of X chromosomes. Females are capable of both black and orange coats, and sometimes their genes can't decide on one color, so they end up a patchwork of colors. There are male calicos, too. This is only possible with a set of XXY chromosomes, so all male calicos are born sterile.

My cat is a little sweetheart most of the time, but she is still a kitten. As such sometimes she gets herself into trouble.
