Topic: The Walking Dead’s relationships are now all interracial or LGBT
Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago#80,671
The Walking Dead has jumped six years into the future following Rick’s untimely (and quite frankly odd) departure from the show, and now everyone is in either an interracial or LBGT relationship.
Over the years, we have seen our survivors grow closer and fall in love – and now they’re even setting up home with families (or surprise babies like Rick and Michonne had).
Proving that the show is more forward thinking than all of its competitors, the dystopian future that the show is set in has well and truly broken down the barriers and everyone is free to love whoever they want.
To be fair, when you’re fighting against zombies, having an issue with other people’s relationships would be the least of your worries, and even more stupid than it already is.
After a bit of fighting for it, King Ezekiel has finally landed his Queen in Carol – and the pair have well and truly taken Henry under their wing and is raising them as their own.
We also know that newcomers Yumiko and Magna, are also a devoted lesbian couple.
Despite looking like it was about to embark on a relationship with Anne, six years can be massive when it comes to love – and now Gabriel looks pretty content with Rosita.
But that could be set for trouble soon enough as Eugene’s feelings for her are still there – and they’ve only gotten stronger over time.
Forbes was the first to point out the notable landmark, with the writer noting: ‘I don’t know why I wanted to stop and point all this out, I just think that it’s cool that in a cast this big, every single relationship on the show is now either LGBT or interracial, and it’s a far cry from say, I don’t know, Game of Thrones, where its mostly-white fantasy setting has created the exact opposite situation.’
It’s also been a long upheld tradition in the universe as Maggie and Glenn’s relationship was also interracial, as was Rick’s blossoming romance with Michonne.
(That’s before he inexplicably got taken away but some unknown people.)
Pretty cool, huh?
The Walking Dead continues on AMC Sundays and airs Mondays Fox UK at 9pm.
> It's not truly progressive until there is a human-zombie romance.

indeed, countries that are defined as a homeland for a specific ethnic group, or perceived to be as such by a large part of the population, tend to have history full of some awful shit toward those who are not part of the group
peace can be workable through stalemate of checks and balances, or by having everyone be exactly alike, perhaps through cloning

I put it on because I was out of shows/drinking/my weeb friend recommended it. it's better than a zombie idol anime show that's just a plug for saga tourism has any right to b. aside from a few bad cg dance scenes it's funny and good
that is my review

> saga tourism
Please stop using phrases like this. You are about a step below people who use corporate productivity buzzwords in everyday conversations in terms of how seriously your opinions should be taken.
