Topic: Convert 12hr to 24hr And Back Again

Anonymous A started this discussion 7 years ago #80,656

The A.M. hours remain the same, just don't write "A.M." at the end.

For hours ranging between 1:00 and 11:59 P.M.

The mathematical formula is:
h + 12
Where h represents the hour you wish to determine in the 24-hour clock system.
For the reserve, just do this, h represents the same thing as above. The only difference is that it represents the 24 system hour.
h - 12
Now you know how to convert between 12hr and 24hr time. Good-day! ?

False. 9:00AM would be written as 09:00, and so on. Except 12:00AM which is written 00:00.

Sorry. What difference does a zero in front of the number really make?

It goes straight from 23.59 to 00.00, the strrt of a new day. But what happens to that lost minute (the hypothetical 24.00)?

Okay, maybe zero o'clock can be for if we ever have to reset the world clocks, and there's an interim period where time isn't running?

This is even more wrong than what I said and I was aiming to be deliberately incorrect.
@938,412 (K)
Agree very strongly.
@938,418 (F)
Let's get an expert military expert to solve this.
@previous (K)
That is possible. When will this happen?

Anonymous F replied with this 7 years ago, 2 minutes later, 16 hours after the original post[^] [v] #938,430

@previous (Fake anon !ZkUt8arUCU)

Google says zero hundred hours is correct.

The lost minute is stolen by the government so you work more for less. That's why it happens at midnight so people don't notice as they're asleep.

There could be any number of scenarios where we might have to stop time. For example, terrorists could destroy the world clocks at the UN. Or humanity might decide to try out a new system of time.

What was the system that applies for all time zones?

Military time?
