Topic: Is this mathematical formula accurate?

Catherine !ttGirlsPl2 started this discussion 7 years ago #80,595

Externally hosted imageNo, this isn't homework, this is just me wanting to reserve a formula to use for calculating something like a runtime whenever I need to. It just determines the total minutes from a time that is stated as, "x hours and y minutes."

Yes because you are converting hours into minutes and then adding two like units of measure.

Well, then you would want (60*x)+y instead. You seem to have (60*h)+m there. All wrong.

lol Couldn't I have resolved this issue by stating, "h hours and m minutes" instead? ??

Then you would have missed out on my stupid, sarcastic reply.

Why don't you join up your writing?

Your letters, they're not joined up.

You mean cursive? I write in cursive too, though, I have recently started working on my printing as well since taking notes really is more effective if you use both printing and cursive. Since you can get sloppy if you write too fast in cursive and my quick handwriting makes things unreadable.
