Topic: Hillary Clinton will start World War III.

Catherine !ttGirlsPl2 started this discussion 7 years ago #80,289

How do people who claim this know for sure? World War III could have broken out with those missile strikes against Syria and such attacks against his country's ally wasn't enough to phase Putin into retaliation. Oh, Hillary made threats against Putin numerous times? So? Are you saying this is worse than a literal missile strike? Are you insisting that Vladimir Putin, a world leader of a very powerful country, is phased by petty words when not even such assaults are enough to push him toward a nuclear war? Is the right side of politics really this paranoid that it appears their entire existence is living in a constant state of fear?

Okay, here's the secret about people... Ready? Here it is: Some people mistake having an informed opinion for just making shit up, and they expect that you will mistake their ignorance for truth if they say something confidently enough.

Is this why there were people who actually bought into that whole "pizzagate" thing?

I still don't know what exactly that was.

Yes. The whole draw of every stupid conspiracy theory is that there is something or someone somewhere that is in control. This is a stupid tale that people everywhere tell anyone who will listen. Sometimes the controlling thing is good. Sometimes the controlling thing is bad. It's always some stupid battle for control put forward by some asshole who feels like they aren't in control. The more 'not in control' the person feels, usually the more they want to believe that someone or something somewhere is in control. No one is in control. It's just insecure people trying to align everyone else around them to real or perceived enemies. By doing that, they can feel like they are in control of something, even just for a little bit. Even if they think they are fighting Satan in some cosmic battle, the sense of order and control and meaning is comforting for some people. For some people, those stories are all they have left. Most people make up a big lie that they live their lives by. That is one of the horrible sad truths of life.

> I still don't know what exactly that was.
It's a shitty story that people told other people about some emails.

That guy is such an attention whore. He is going to keep doing things to get attention. I'm afraid he might get violent at some point. I'm glad he doesn't live near me.

He was right about the conspiracy to silence him. Therefore he is right about everything else.

No one has silenced him. If there were a conspiracy to silence him, then he would be dead.

The sad part is that he's just an old fat guy in a frog costume selling fake dick pills. If I were part of some world-wide conspiracy, then I would be enthusiastically supporting his effort to draw people's attention away from me.
