If you lived through the Clinton years, then you witnessed the Republican impotent-banging-on-the-table outrage that just wouldn't stick to President Clinton. Whitewater, Tailhook, Lewinsky, the "I didn't inhale" bullshit -- nothing. Clinton just slipped away from any kind of scandal or misconduct you could direct at him and the congress did just about whatever to make sure it didn't stick. That's Trump. He's the new Clinton. He's a demagogue with enough charisma in the common people's eyes to squeak by any little controversy by claiming it was all a misunderstanding.
