Connecting up with friends who have the gear (generators) and everything you need to survive in the desert - Expensive it was not. Sharing gas and food etc. Also people were always inviting us to bar-b-q's and that tent behind the sign provided a lot of free food and drink. Really great memories re friends and new friends including people I am still in contact with. I am just saying with wind storms truly horrid at times and sleeping all day and only going out at night - Worth a try at least once. Not unless you have friends who are desert equipped.
