The problem they discovered was that my mother's cable TV box had a cable that wasn't screwed in all the way. They said this affected everything else in the apartment, but he did suggest getting a new router. One of the flatter ones with the antennas. All he did was screw in the wire more tightly. It would weird if this was the cause of my internet problems.

IT WOULD BE SO WEIRD

Did he wrap it in any teflon tape? That usually helps form a tighter seal between the threads and prevent future leaks.

Took my car to the mechanic and it turns out my car needed some headlight fluid and a bucket of steam to work properly.

Externally hosted imageI just did a speed test and my upload speeds still seem shitty.

Have you tried turning it off, unplugging it, and never plugging it back in?

The third test was a bit disappointing.

You fixed the leak but did they test the internet pressure? A tight seal is no good if your internet pressure is low.

Why do you need upload speed specifically? Us isps usually offer a much lower upload speed vs download speed on normal packages.

Have you accessed the routers options via the default log in settings and optimized them using guides and refrences online?

I have checked the router settings based on what people have told me.
I also checked the port forwarding settings too.

How does one let the tech just screw in the connector and not ask the tech to run a speed test and see if it meets SPECS???

Damn am I happy that in one hour I will be off the net for rest of day-nite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they did run a speed test actually.

Syntax replied with this 7 years ago, 14 minutes later, 22 hours after the original post[^] [v] #929,868

@previous (Catherine !ttGirlsPl2)
And what were the results?
OK if you think they did then you do not no

AND what frustrates me even more is - The Modem - Did it occur to you to just get the Modem with two CAT 5 Outputs?
Then you wood not need the new router -

Why do I even bother replying to these Spectrum threads

@929,566 (Meta !Sober//iZs)
