It's essentially like sand and gravel in that it's affected by gravity, but you can also stack them by right-clicking on the base block. You can get rid of all of them by breaking the base block. And you can climb them up or down like a ladder. This is a real game changer since now it means no more need for sand or gravel as scaffolding. I'm sure you will also be able to farm bamboo for it too.

@927,452 (B)In the left is a glimpse of what scaffolding looks like right now, but that texture might change later.
Oh, pandas are being added, and ocelots are being separated from cats. You would still be able to tame an ocelot and keep it as a pet, but now you can also have a cat with different breeds. Cats are found roaming villages and now fend off creepers AND phantoms. I think they might also be able to bring you loot.
