Sometimes I wonder if any country will ever fully legalize pot. With international rules (Convention on Psychotropic Substances Act) it may never happen (in my lifetime).
I hope otherwise though! My state is trying, but then there are the federal hurdles.

Not Legal in any state of USA as far as Federal Government is concerned
However multiple states have made it legal in various ways.
Here in California all it takes is a Medical reason. I am sincerer when I say a back ache or headaches etc an all it takes is an MD to say yes to medical use. Stores all have doctors on file who make a business out of issuing a approval card. Major cities are trying to make it difficult for the stores re zoning laws.
Currently there are 1000's of legal outlets.

It's illegal here in England, but having a small amount for possession is usually ignore, or you just get a warning. It's a class B drug now, but there's lots of support for legalising it for personal use,

In Ireland possession is an arrestable offence, but it's rarely enforced, usually they just seize the drug and your name is taken.
