His gimmick was that of a homeless bum with his finishing move called, "The Polesmoker." That is where he tries to pull down the pants/tights of the other man to suck their dicks. One night, Mayor Glenn Jacobs (Kane), made an appearance to honor his routes in professional wrestling. He was given ring time to say whatever he wanted before Bert came out and challenged him to a fight. Kane, thinking it was all a work, accepted the challenge. The bell rings and Bert gives Kane his best shot. Upon realizing that Kane was stiffed, he stiffs Bert back. To Bert's credit, it took a couple of shots before he got TKO'd. Somewhere in-between the strikes, Kane, in anger, shouts at him, "Don't you know wrestling is fake, stupid?!" Kane leaves the arena mad and Bert is banned from the promotion.
