If there was a god and he wanted to test our faith we should expect really convincing evidence against the Genesis creation story. Obviously something like the fossil record, carbon dating, stars billions of light years away, the expanding universe, etc would be trivial for an omnipotent god to fake. I mean the guy's omnipotent, of course he can plant a bunch of fossils in the "correct" order and set the carbon-14 levels to suggest really old fossils on a ~6,000 year old earth.
