I'm going shopping for soy. Can you reccomend some soy brands.

Silk is the best commonly available soymilk brand. Daiya cheese tends to melt the best out of any fake cheese, but it's not always the most flavorful. I haven't found a good yogurt brand that is also affordable. The closest is Yoplait has lactose free (but not soy-based) yogurts for around $1. Ben and Jerry's has good dairy free ice cream, as does SO Delicious. Tofutti makes good ice cream sandwiches (thanks Becky!). These are all the big name brands you're likely to find at the store. Local/smaller brands can be better, but they can also be pretty shit, depending.

Also I have never gone shopping for "soy". I somehow doubt your sincerity. It's like a vegetarian saying "I'm looking to go buy meat" to blend in with meat eaters. You don't just buy a big slab of meat, you buy chicken thighs or ground beef or something. I don't buy a big cube of soy, I buy dairy free milk or cheese or whatever, which may or may not be made with soy.
