That makes no sense. What do they do with the late night drunks and stoners? I'm pretty sure restaurant chains like Taco Bell and Jack in the Box market specifically to that crowd in that time slot. How does McDonald's plan to remain competitive?

Because, as a gastronomist, people who willingly eat shit food piss me off. It is like someone who could drive a nice car, choosing to drive a 30 year old, broken down piece of shit.

Some hard-hitting yet insightful business critique from Bert, here.
Ridiculing aside, he's actually right. The breakfast menu is inferior. If I'm up at 2 and fancy a McDonald's, I won't want their underwhelming egg burgers. I will want something nice and meaty and substantial.

McDonald's is legitimately good. I am seldom more relaxed than when I'm sitting in the food court after a long day, eating my double cheeseburger with fries. It's just tasty and fresh food.
The clerks have even started to recognise me. Last time I went, the woman there predicted all of my order and that I would be eating in. You would never get that personal touch with home cooking.
