It's a Bic™ Gelocity™ 0.7mm black, if anyone sees it. The last I remember seeing it was late in the work day. I keep it in my shirt pocket so it likely fell out somewhere. I checked my car and didn't see it :(

I have a lot of pens but I'm upset about losing this one because I was gonna keep and use the same pen every day until the ink ran out (something I have never managed in my life).
In case you wondered why I'm so upset about a $0.50 pen :(

Why black?

Once you go black you never go back ?

What interests me about these is they're made in Japan. I have a couple of the previous generation Gelocity™ (pic) and those were made in France but I wasn't really happy with the writing quality (kinda gloppy and skippy, long dry time). It was just meh. With these new ones being made in Japan I seriously wonder if these are made by Pilot or something and re-branded as Bic. They are a lot better than the made in France ones and it's definitely a different ink formulation.

I use a set of 6-10 different coloured pens for note taking
Just find it hard to focus on a page of writing that's all the same colour

I do have a medium point black ink Bic Velocity that I have carried around in my shirt pocket for a while. It's the ball-point version of that same pen. I can't stand gel pens. If I find a gel pen version, then I'll be sure to put in the Minichan lost and found and alert you to the fact that it's there.

You should get a blue pen as well!

Why can't you stand gel pens? The only ones I can't stand are the Uniball ones, but only because they skip like mad. I think gel is a good compromise between liquid ink rollerball (writes amazing but too high maintenance - you have to keep it capped) and the ballpoint (zero maintenance but the ink is way too viscous, too much rolling resistance).

I expected more from a Fake anon post. A disappointing entry into an otherwise great thread.

They bleed like crazy when you try to write on newsprint or any thin paper and they never dry fast enough. I've turned many a relaxing crossword puzzle or sudoku into an inky mess on coffee breaks over the years because of gel pens. I haven't tried one in a few years though. Maybe they're better now?

I do! I certainly missed it. A true, refined, gentleman always keeps a pen in his shirt pocket.

Epilogue: I got down to about 25% ink and then the pocket clip broke and I got mad and threw it in one of my desk drawers and I stopped writing with it.

It's nice it lasted as long as it did. Some pens have clips that I swear are made as cruel jokes and break almost immediately.
