Why doesn’t the UK have birthright citizenship? Just another example of what an inbred little backwards island it is. Funny how they always try and lecture us in the states about how progressive they are.

Pretty good. How are all those school shootings? Will you ever finally join the first world and establish universal healthcare?

I sure hope we do. I was born into diabetes, and the healthcare system is bleeding me dry.

Suck dicks? In China we ate dicks cooked in ways that are probably forbidden to discuss here. Chinese dicks are very small, so a small wok is all you need for preparation.

Same here, though only coming up 10 years. How's your HbA1c? 21 years must be tough. At least the US is heading in the right direction (I think?) with healthcare, Trump notwithstanding.

Also, do you use an insulin pump? I'm stuck with the pens, I heard pumps are a lot more common in the US.

No clue where you get your news. Here the news regarding the state of health care is beyond dismal except for those wealthy enough to pay huge amounts for insurance. I am one of the few lucky ones over insured. Even at that they have clauses that provide loop holes. I am super healthy but I also work very very hard with an exercise regime and watch what I eat like a hawk.

Yeah, I meant insofar as things like Obamacare. Isn't that progress of a sort, on the grand scale? I'm aware the situation is still pitiful, but a majority of Americans now support universal healthcare − it's only a matter of time.

Or maybe I'm horribly mistaken, idk.

7.6 last they checked. Not too bad, but could be better. I was diagnosed at age 6, so p.much my whole life has been needles and test strips.

I do have a Medtronic Revel, it's convenient, but sometimes I go through Humalog like it's nothing. I just have to be super cautious about how many carbs I actually intake.

Trump of course is open and honest about how he wants to gut Obama care. Current hearings for Supreme court justice also is about someone that has been open about Gov has no business in other peoples business and that speaks poorly for future of Gov helping people with health care. Key issue is pre existing conditions.

And USA for all its high costs of health care ends up on the list of not one of the best countries when it comes to people with the best of health.

We have a new law that requires restaurants to display the calorie count on each food item on the menu - The other day I wanted a snack of French Fries and that was just after burning a recorded 400 calories on the tread mill. Then I got to the fast food joint for my most Fav Fires and ordered Extra Well done. Some retarded fool keeps posting it as EXTRA CRISPY - Anyway imagine my shock at my Calorie burn was exactly equal to the French Fry 395

Now the fact is - 395 is for regular Fries. Extra well done is going to be like 475+

Comes down to WE each are responsible for our health except of course for Genetic screw up issues that we have to fight hard to fight against

That's pretty good I'd say, better than my last A1c. Not that it's any consolation, but from talking to other T1s I actually think it's better to have been diagnosed at a young age, in a way. IME, those diagnosed later on in life (after, say, 16) struggle to adjust, and even decades later still "miss" being non-diabetic and experience burnout a lot more often.

I've thought about getting a pump, mostly for the convenience. We don't really do Humalog here, mostly NovoRapid (insulin aspart) and Levemir (insulin detemir). Apparently the price of Humalog is 4-8 times more expensive in the US, so that sucks dick.

Is that rule just for chain restaurants, out of interest? All fast food and most pub chains (Wetherspoons) do that, here, but not all 'proper' restaurants. Either way, that's a good move.

I wish more restaurants added the full nutritional breakdown. As a diabeetus I need the carb info, it's shite to have to guess.

Late and need to be up about 30 minutes before sunrise to hit my Ocean a Blue.
I think the law is such that - Found it
All restaurants with 20 or more outlets must post the calorie counts and other nutritional information on their menus. That includes movie theater popcorn and drinks in bars.

It sure does, $800 for 3 bottles, if you don't have insurance. I get what you're saying, I could see how being diagnosed after being non-diabetic for a long time could negatively impact a person. I remember being non-diabetic, but I've been diabetic almost 4 times as long as I was non-diabetic.

Now off to a meeting shortly to present her conclusions with my descent and It will be I who takes the blame for choice of using her. She does quality work but as with anyone is not perfect.
