I've only seen pictures of them and fake CGI film clips distributed by scare-mongering news media. Personally, I doubt their existence.

Yes just once and from an Aircraft that had just left DFW in Texas of course of course.
In Texas on business in Greenville Texas 52 miles from Dallas. Pilot said he was making a turn so that we all could view a Tornado and I had a quick view but we had no clue where that Tornado was. Later I found out that Tornado hit Greenville and did massive damage.
Another time I was on my way to the same company and on radio they gave out a Tornado warning watch and to take measures Desolate road and I had NO CLUE Wot 2Do - Just kept on driving.
