Spoiler Alert: She did not pass the test and yet she passed.
A teenage girl has died after her car stalled on a level crossing during her driving test and the examiner jumped out and left her to be hit by an oncoming train.
The 18-year-old, named only as Angelika by police, died in hospital but her examiner escaped unhurt and reportedly did nothing to help the girl as she lay dying in the wreckage, in the village of Zaskale in southern Poland.
The horrific accident was captured in the background of CCTV security camera footage from a workplace close to the railway lines.
It shows the red Suzuki Baleno come to a halt on the unmanned level crossing and the examiner jump out just before the train smashes into the car.
The 62-year-old man, whose name has not been released, got out after Angelika stalled the engine in the middle of the crossing and could not get it going again.
He was still walking away from the car when the train between the towns of Nowy Targ and Zakopane arrived and smashed into the vehicle, witnesses said.

Why didn't she get out of the car?

Did you watch the video? The car stalled and a few seconds later it was hit. The instructor barely made it out, and only made it out because it looks like he bails almost as soon as he could.
She didn't stop at the tracks for a crossing without barriers and probably didn't bail because she panicked and tried to move the car.
Imo the real story is the instructor failing to render first aid and not having a kit in a learner vehicle. I doubt he could've saved her anyway, and he was probably in shock himself. There may have been a lack of safety equipment too, like an instructors brake.
So it might've been very out of his control to intervene at any point. Except to tell "run!" If he even managed that.

With her driving inexperience she probably failed to use the left right left rule upon entering the tracks. She looked straight ahead instead of checking out the rails.

No I didn't watch it. I do feel like its slightly pointless to attempt first aid after such an accident

Yeah, but maybe he could've given her comfort. But, I bet he was in shock. Looks bad, but probably a perfectly human thing to do.

I agree. Most people just shut down during catastrophies

Yeah, and you can't fault the guy for bailing, he would've been killed instantly. I wonder how many times as a driving instructor he played that scenario out in his head and was like, "yup, I'd run like a bitch," and was maybe mentally prepared to jump out of a car at a whiff of danger.
