I mean if any one font was really objectively better everyone would just use it and they wouldn't bother making new fonts anymore.

I love that the picture in the OP says "basic character set" like it was marketing the Souvenir font to some medieval scholar who might be revising old texts with modern exchange rates in European, American, and Asian currencies.
