he's 70 already and suddenly decided to ditch his family and hasn't told anyone what his plans are. when I hear from him i feel nothing but resentment and pity. we never talked that much to begin with so hearing him say 'luv ya' on the phone is just kind of unnerving. he sent me a pull saw the other week and idgi. his "checking in" puts me in a very bad mood

I understand that it sucks. Keep in mind that he deserves his own happiness, and if he has to get away from his family to find that happiness, it's hard to fault him for it. Also, he waited until you were an adult to leave and that's more than than many people get. Try to understand and forgive.
