well the game is very in your face about 'here are some ok features, have fun' but it doesn't even play like a a fallout game. it's a pretty barebones rpg that looks polished but didn't feel like it was made with love

also did they have to make like 80% of the people you interact with (outside settlements) immediately hostile
very few unique people to meet which feels like a lot of wasted opportunity
so many raiders/gunners, and aren't gunners a for-hire gang of mercenaries, how do they even find work if they are hostile on sight to everybody whom they face

the last main quest i had to kill the airport guys and it just kept spawning a hundred dudes in power armour with laser gatlings in the same exact spot for 20 minutes

Honestly, don't bother with the other DLCs unless you really want to. Nuka World is alright, but it's basically a giant area full of raiders who you either side with or fight, and once you fight one of the raider gangs, every raider across Nuka World is immediately hostile, permanently ending the 'plot'. There are cultists called the Hubologists which have some fun quests, but the main quest is so bugged you have a 20% chance of needing console commands just to progress to the next stage.
Automatron is just... eh. It just adds robots to the map that attack your settlements with overwhelming firepower, leaving you with dead settlers before you even arrive to defend it. Its actual "plot" is just shit IMO.
Nuka World isn't bad, but it made me wish I'd played it first and Far Harbour second, because Far Harbour gave me very high expectations which were not, in fact, met. Thanks.

You forgot the manufacturing! A good way to make caps is to manufacture Vault-Tec Lunchboxes , break them open with a knife as they pass you on a conveyor belt, then run them through a sorter. I just did three runs and got these items from 325 steel, and once I'm done I'm going to make some bottlecap mines with them and explode them myself to collect the caps.

What kind of gameplay type interests you the most.

why would you do all that for just that junk
why would you make a bottlecap mine and explode it just to collect the caps that you put into a lunchbox already
