I need an example of a successful country that is predominantly made up of black people to win an argument against a racist asshole.
It would be helpful if the country was in Africa but it's not a must eg: Caribbean or island nations. Please give a reason as to why your chosen country is successful. The criteria can be as broad as you want, any help is appreciated, thanks!

Actually all black nations are successful but the trick is to weigh them against white oppression and colonialism.

How do you want to measure success? GDP? Intentional homicide rate? Infant mortality? HDI?
Ghana has an intentional homicide rate the same as Canada's, a GDP (PPP) higher than most African states, and a real growth rate above the US - is Ghana successful? Do you want "success" in an African context or worldwide?
I know this is a thread created to complain about how niggers can't run a country hurr, but entertain me.

Success of nations is often measured by their ability to wage war against another continent. Such is not currently true of nations in Africa

Compare Ghana, or any African country, to a European state and it will come out very poorly, mind. There are no African states as "successful" as their modern counterparts off the continent, if you look at more than a single metric. I don't believe this has anything to do with race, personally, but that's how it is.

In 2011, Forbes magazine, published that Ghana was ranked the eleventh most friendly country in the world.
Ghana has a universal health care system strictly designated for Ghanaian nationals, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)
Reliable power grid is not so much so good currently

It's a good country, with very low crime and stable health and financial systems. But wages are comparatively rather low, and its GDP per capita isn't stellar. It has a problem with drug traffickers, too. It's very good by African standards, for sure.

Back wayyyyyy back long ago when I was at UCLA I had several friends that were from Ghana. From wealthy families. Long ago lost contact.
Looking at a map Nigeria is as close as I have been to Ghana. That part of Africa I found little reason for business or tourist travel.
