Topic: What do you think about tribal tattoos? Should I get one?

I'm deciding between a tribal tattoo and a design which actually has some meaning to me, on my upper arm. On one hand, tribal tattoos are meaningless, stupid, gay, retarded and whatever else anyone wants to say about them, but I find them quite aesthetically pleasing. They tend to "flow" well with the body and usually people have tribal designs on their arm where there's like spikes or something else, flowing down their arm towards their forearm, so that you can see the spikes or whatever while wearing a t-shirt. But on the other hand, tribal tattoos do have no meaning, and as a general rule of thumb I think tattoos should, although tattoos also serve the purpose of being aesthetically pleasing (for some people I guess this is the only purpose which is why they only get tribal tattoos). I don't wanna get tribal because they're "meaningless", but on the other hand, I want something that's visible when wearing a t-shirt and aside from getting a tribal design the only way I can achieve this is by getting two smaller tattoos, which I think looks tacky.Anyway let me know what you think about this, whatever. I didn't intend for this thread to become "tl;dr" but I have a lot of thoughts on this subject and how I permanently modify my body.

I like the really intricate tattoos that are of like a Latino looking Jesus or something. pictures of actual things, not just designs. I can't explain it but like gangster style not emo style
